Message	But it would probably be a way to absorb the harmonic vibrations in the drive train with a heavy mass. Not sure if it could be used in the Z32 with a 1 piece DS? Would require much experiment. The Nissan designers had the means and the money and they probably tried a 1 piece and determined that for most Z32 drivers the 2 piece was the best route with the least obtrusive noise for the driving experience.
